Mads Hansen, MD, DMSc

Mads brings more than 15 years of experience from the pharmaceutical industry, including senior roles such as Therapeutic Area Head for Oncology and Hematology in the Nordics and Medical Director at Amgen, with responsibility for both Denmark and Norway. For the past five years, he has served as Director of ZEMA Pharma Consulting, where he helps pharmaceutical and biotech companies connect clinical data with market needs to drive the highest impact.

Complementing his industry expertise, Mads has over 20 years of clinical experience as Chief Consultant and Head of the Lymphoma and Myeloma Clinic at Rigshospitalet, University Hospital of Copenhagen. He has also contributed to regulatory decision-making through his work at the Danish Medicines Agency, where he supported the Danish CHMP member, conducted EMA clinical assessments, and participated in EMA Scientific Advice procedures.

Throughout his career, Mads has achieved significant results in making life-altering medicines available to patients. His dual perspective—both as a clinician who has witnessed the transformative impact of new treatments and as an industry leader who understands how to bring them to market—led him to establish ZEMA Pharma Consulting. Today, his passion is to ensure that innovative therapies reach patients by helping companies turning clinical data into market impact.
